1. First of all, you have to understand the scoring rules.
It’s a hard and fast rule for all essays! Before you start writing, you must understand what the scoring guidelines are all about, and write down all the rules (don’t be afraid of the word count, and bold the key points when appropriate to attract attention, so that our professors won’t be blind enough to miss them), so as to avoid the tragedy of losing marks.
2. Understanding the teacher’s mind is more important than anything else.
Before you start writing, make sure you study the instructions given by your teacher thoroughly. If you feel that the teacher is not being detailed enough, then ask questions! Only papers with clear instructions are the easiest to write. Sometimes the teacher’s focus may be on theory, but you focus on practice, and you won’t get a good grade.
3. Literature is our cornerstone
Some of my friends spend a lot of time in the process of reviewing the literature, but the result is that after reading nothing to remember, it is simply a waste of time. I have a tip here, I suggest that we first look at the abstract and conclusion, with the theme of the close relationship between the part and then read carefully, as for those who do not matter to the literature, look at a roughly on the line. When reading the literature, make sure you write down what you can use, whether you mark it up in a document or create a new one, so that you can find it in the future. I highly recommend using zotero literature management software, it works really well!
4. Logical and organised
Before you start writing, you need to have a general plan for the content of the essay, then list the framework, and finally fill in the details. This is the only way to write out the article will be well organised. If you do not have a good idea before you rush to do it, it is really a waste of effort.
5. Tap into the treasures of your library
When you devote yourself to the preparation of your essay, you will find that there are so many treasures hidden in the school library! There are many valuable reports, data, and articles on the Internet (all of which require expensive subscriptions!), and the resources on the school library’s website can be used as a source of information for your dissertation. The school library website is full of resources, and most of them are free to download. Read more, learn more, we can not afford to waste the tuition!
6. Set aside enough time, don’t let DDL become your nightmare!
I’m a procrastinator too, but the long nights I’ve survived have taught me to start as early as possible! Even if it’s just a day earlier, it’s progress! Otherwise, waiting until the moment DDL comes, the taste can be really sour, and if you fail again, it will be really worse!
